As I talked about before I left my internship at Bloguettes I got to help with a couple of the blogger interviews.  Although I had the most hands on with The College Prepster Interview, I also had a helping hand in bringing Krista Robertson from Covering the Basis and Ashley and Malone to doing an interview on the Bloguettes.  It's great to see something you helped with  come to life.  These are two blogs that I am obsessed with and glad that they could do a collar with another company that I have a special place in my heart with.  Click the pictures below to see the full interviews with the Bloguettes.

It's been a whirl wind of the past couple weeks.  Visiting schools, working, birthdays and weddings!  It's been non-stop, but now I finally have a down week where I can catch up on the Kardashians and maybe some homework here and there.

Back in seventh grade I met a boy with the spikest hair I have ever seen.  We rode the same bus, had the same friends, had the same classes, played for the soccer team, and after school he would ride his bike to my house and we would hangout and gossip about the soccer teams.  Here we are, almost ten years later, celebrating his 23rd birthday together.

This is the first that I am dressing up with a boyfriend and I am so excited!  We have been sharing ideas non-stop because we don't want to have clichĂŠ costumes, but we also want to have fun with it.  We have been all over the internet trying to get as many ideas as possible.  However, we have FINALLY picked an a cute and original couple costume idea.  I'm not going to give anything away but I will give you guys a hint!  Watch the video below and take your guess on to what old school cartoon characters you think we're dressing up as!

It's that time of the year again: FOOTBALL SEASON!  Last year for Christmas, Omar took me to the Redskins and Eagles game.  This time, he came home for the weekend and I found amazing ticket for an amazing price.  Section 106, Row 8!  Right where the Redskins run in and out of for game time.  It has been too long since I've seen a football game and I had a great time.  I mostly had a great time because as you guessed it. . . REDSKINS WON!

I spent the first day of fall outside with the love of my life; Lumpy the Hedgehog!  Although I live in Virginia, the seasons tend to come a little later.  Usually winter time comes in January/February, spring comes in April/May, summer comes in late June, and fall happens around later October.  I don't know about where you guys live, but Virginia just doesn't get the memo about the seasons.  It was beautiful out today- I was wearing a t-shirt and shorts.   Regardless, I took the little one out for some play time.  I know, I know, he's the cutest thing you've ever seen.

September 18, 2015

Before I left my amazing summer internship in Arizona for the Bloguettes team I got to interview The College Prepster!  Carly shared all of her insights about how she turned her hobby into a career.  Carly is so awesome for doing this collab with Bloguettes and I'm happy I got to be a part of it!  Click the picture below to see Carly's full interview with Bloguettes.

Omar and I have been playing for weeks to go to Kings Dominion during his leave.  So we woke up early, got some coffee, and drove two hours to Kings Dominion and found out that . . . it was closed.  BUMMER.  So Omar turned the car around and drove us to the Washington D.C. National Zoo.  We spent all day walking around, watching animals, taking pictures, and making funny videos on the GoPro.

It's been a long six and a half months but the boyfriend is finally back home from deployment!  After being home for about 48 hours I headed down to North Carolina to pick him up!  I was so excited to be reunited with my best friend and to be spending a whole week down there just us two.  After he got off work on Thursday we headed back home for the weekend.  He got to hangout with family and the bros and we even made a day trip to Lake Anna.  It was such a nice weekend and I'm so so so happy to have him back.  You really don't know how much you appreciate someone until you have a billion miles put in between you two.  Welcome home babe!  Glad you're back!

August 10, 2015

It's time to say good-bye to one of my new favorite cities.  I had a great mini-vacay and saw a lot thanks to my awesome tour guides (thanks Javi & Renee!).  Now it's time to head back to Virginia and start my new semester of school, find a new job, and sadly find a new car.  This summer has thrown some major ups and downs at me, but I've knocked them all out of the park.  At the end of the day as long as what you are doing makes you happy then all of the chaos that comes with it is worth it.

Thank you Bloguettes, thank you Phoenix, thank you San Francisco, you've made this journey quite memorable.

August 09, 2015

I've had a blast since being in California and I never knew that San Francisco had such a city life to it.  It's so much fun to be able to walk around the city and see all the different tops of shops that they have that's different from the East Coast.  I have to say, Castro St. is my favorite so far... it's just so colorful!

I have had such a great time interning for Bloguettes and you can learn all about me on the Intern Interview up on the blog now!  Click the picture below to see dorky pictures of me, shout out to MP, and why I flew across the country to work for Bloguettes this summer!

August 07, 2015

This trip was exhausting!  I drove 12 straight hours to San Fran and made it there right before 10:30PM! To say Lumpy & I were exhausted would be an understatement.  Also, I thought there would be more exciting things along the way, but it was all dessert.  The most interesting thing we stopped at was the General Patton Museum.  Besides that, we shared some nachos, sang to songs, and enjoyed the view!

Today's the day!  I am off on my mini-ish road trip to California.  I've got Lumpy to my left and goldfish to my right- there's no stopping me now!  Well, that and also my flight home is from the San Francisco airport so I gotta get there somehow right!?

It's so sad because I have had such an awesome time at Bloguettes this summer and it sucks that I'll have to say goodbye to these amazing girls and creatives.  Here's the last few post I did for the Bloguettes blog.  I hope you've enjoyed them as much as I have!

August 06, 2015

With my favorite state being ridiculously in arms reach of me this summer I decided to take the last 5 days to travel to California before I head back East.  I've done the calculations and seeing as how I will be leaving from Chandler, AZ and heading to San Francisco, CA I've got a bit of a trip ahead of me.  An 11 hours and 10 minutes trip to be exact, but who's counting?  Since I will have my travel companion, Lumpy, with me I figured I better make use of the 5 days I have ahead of me.  That is why I am super excited to announce that I will be going on a Mini-ish Road Trip to California this tomorrow!  Leaving bright and early Friday morning and heading to see one of my oldest friends on the West Coast.  What is there to do on the way though?  I mean I know I'll have to stop and get gas and food once or twice but what if there's a bomb ice cream shop or a cool mountain on the way?  I need to be prepared.  I am preparing the best way that I know how, by downloading apps to help me along this crazy adventure.  I've done my research and found the best apps to help me make the most of the long road that is ahead.  Here is what I found:

Interning for Bloguettes has completely changed me.  It reminded me to never stop being creative and to always pursue my dream job.  I loved everyone I met this summer and learned so much.  I even had to survive in a brand new state not knowing anyone!  It was a rough start with the car accident and all, but I'm so glad I stuck through it.  I couldn't have imagined my summer going any differently.

"Earlier today I had to say goodbye to hands down the best group of girls I have ever worked with. I can't believe I was surrounded with some of the most creative, talented, determined, and brilliant people this summer. I can't wait to take what I've learned from this internship and put it towards my future. Thanks for being my home this summer Bloguettes and I know this isn't goodbye, it's a see you later."

WOW!  The day has finally come!  The team has been working hard to put together this amazing event.  The event was to teach the Happy Campers all about photo styling, photo taking, layouts and lighting, etc.  I know for sure over 90 people showed up, but not that I was keeping track but I'm pretty sure we actually hit the triple digits!

July 21, 2015

If it's one thing that I have learned while working at Bloguettes this summer it's that you can rebrand yourself anytime you want, as many times as you want.  It's okay to play around with different styles, fonts, colors, etc to make what your want your brand to be perfection.  I took the time to sit down and clean out my Pinterest account and give it a whole new look.  It was actually nice to clear out some old post, because lets just say when I first joined Pinterest I was pinning everything!  I can't believe some of the other things I was saving... just .. why?  So now, it's got a mature look to it, including a section for my blog post.

July 17, 2015

Here at the Bloguettes studio we have been getting super pumped for the Bloguettes Summer Instacamp!  It's such a fun event that the Bloguettes are hosting, an all day event with guest speakers to teach you bout photography and branding yourself and your brand the right way on Instagram.

Something that I have enjoyed quite a lot and which has given me a handful of inspiration for my own blog.  I am constantly researching for the latest tech and media related news, gathering cute and fun links for the Here's to The Weekend post on the Bloguettes blog.  It's been so much fun playing with the links, the graphics, all of it.  I've gotten a real feel for what Bloguettes is all about.   It's such a fun and bright colorful blog to be on, so if you have some down time head over to the Bloguettes blog!  You won't regret it!

July 02, 2015

I've had the time of life these past few weeks working for Bloguettes.  It's such a creative atmosphere here and I'm apart of it.  Today we headed this awesome hotel called The Saguaro- it's so bright & colorful there.  We took some stock photos, our intern headshot, and got to play with our own photography skills.

June 30, 2015

I decided to start a new segment on here because sometimes life can get kind of crazy.  There's not really a chance to talk about every minor things that has been going on but when it's all put together nicely, it can help you see how chaotic life can get.  There is a bigger reason for my lack of posting lately though.

May 29, 2015

I recently announced that I was offered an out of state internship.  The internship is for a company called Bloguettes and they are based out of Phoenix, Arizona.  There was a lot to do before I left (ship my car, pack, buy tickets, get Lumpy cleared to fly, say goodbye), it was to sum up quite a stressful weekend!  But none the less I have made it!   I am living with my cousin and his girlfriend and so far I have had a great time.  The weather is beautiful, the scenery is so different, and I just love the freedom that I have out here to be anyone I want.  So far things are pretty great and I can't wait to see what Arizona has to offer me this summer!

May 26, 2015

It's my last day in Virginia and what do I want to do?  Hang by the pool with my girls.  After an emotional afternoon; Rocio, Danya, and I decided to hang by the pool.  We ordered pizza, played with the GoPro and the selfie stick and got a tan (well, kinda).  It was the perfect end to a perfect (and oddly long) week. Tomorrow I leave for Arizona and it's killing me that I won't get to see these girls for another three months, but I know they'll keep me up-to-date in what's going on in good ol' Virginia.

May 22, 2015

To celebrate my last few nights in Virginia my friends rallied together to make sure that I had a fun packed weekend.  We started Friday night in D.C. with a good group of friends.  We ran around the town, danced all night, laughed all night, and ate some really good pizza!

May 19, 2015

Earlier of last week I received an e-mail stating that they were interested in hiring me for a summer internship.  Then a few days later, I had a phone interview.  After the phone interview I had a writing assessment to do.  Afterwards I waited.  I waited and waited what seemed like forever (when really it was only a few days).

After the few days went by I received an e-mail offering me the internship position!

My entire body is screaming for joy at this point!  The internship is for the company called Bloguettes and the company is in Phoenix, Arizona.  I need to start packing my bags because I have officially accepted the offer and have a week to get out there!

April 17, 2015

Another 21st birthday done right!  This past weekend we celebrated Danya's birthday with a large group of friends in our own private room in a local bar.  We started the night with a big fancy dinner, and poor Danya forgot her ID.  She had no idea that her awesome boyfriend had rented out a private room in a bar right up the street.  So while she was in tears because she felt that she wasn't able to celebrate her birthday, the rest of us were in giggles because she had no idea what was coming.

Have you ever wondered what came up when you Google yourself?  Well, I've googled myself once or twice, or maybe a few more times.  However, since I have started building my online portfolio a bit more lately I wondered what showed up when I googled 'Michele Katsaris."  This is what I got . . . (click the pictures to see actual link)

Hello Lovies!

I know that this may not be a big deal to most people, but it really hit me today that I'm not the only one who reads my blog!  My blog has officially over 1,000 views as of today.  Well, 1,238 views but who's counting?  There is something that Carly Heitlinger said during the Bloggers Panel at TVFU last weekend.  "It doesn't matter if you have one person looking at your page or one hundred, what matters is that you love what you're doing and you're doing it for you."  This resonated with me because that is how I feel at this moment.  I love that people are following up with my life and it makes me happy that my voice is getting put out there.  I will continue to grow as a blogger from this because of my viewers.  It may not be a huge accomplishment but it's something small that deserves recognition.  For those of you who do follow, please just keep up with me and send me info on what you want me to talk about, advice, comments, etc.  I'm here for you guys as much as you're here for me.  I guess I truly just want to say thank you.  Thank you so much for keeping up with me and making this small accomplishment possible.

Class Is Officially In Session!

I was extremely lucky to have been accepted to attend the Fashion University hosted by Teen Vogue. I got accepted to the Editorial/PR & Social side of the university and I had such an amazing experience.  Not only did I get to meet the editors of Teen Vogue (including Amy Astley, EIC), but I got to meet some amazing people in the industry such as Claiborne Swanson Frank, Hannah Bronfman, and Carly Heitlinger!  I mingled with some of the most important people in the industry, passed out my resume, collected business cards, took a lot of notes, and of course did a little shopping.  All of the editors and guest speakers were so awesome to talk to.  They were all humble and down to earth.  They made you feel important when you were having your one on one time with them.  This opportunity was remarkable and I definitely learned a lot.  I want to attend TVFU every year!

March 13, 2015

Hello Lovies!

I am coming to you today from New York City Baby!  I am officially settled in for the Teen Vogue Fashion University.  It starts off with the exclusive kick off party tonight hosted by Express in Times Square.  I am super excited to be in the city, I just feel like I belong here.   Everything about New York draws you in, between the lights, the people, the noise- all of it.  I haven't done much yet, except walk around and shop and eat at some bomb restaurants.  Tonight is my first event and tomorrow I will be attending classes all day and graduate from FashionU on Sunday.  Stayed tuned for more updates on my weekend!

All that's on my lust list this time is the Nikon D5200 Digital SLR Camera With 18-55mm VR Lens in Black.  It's a mouth full I know, but it's the professional camera that I have wanted for a while.  It's got everything I have been looking for.  The moveable screen, the great quality lens, the several different settings.. it's beautiful.  So far this is the cheapest one I have found, if you know where to get one for cheaper, please, please, please let me know!

For those of you who don't know, my boyfriend, Omar, is a Marine.  I know what was I thinking right?  Hah, kidding of course.  He is the sweetest and most annoying person I know.  It works somehow.  We've been dating for almost a year so we don't really know anything outside of him being in the military.  His first deployment is in February and is supposed to last about six, or seven, or eight months.  We've discussed a ton of ways to make this work, things to do, things to not do, and I'm not saying that we are experts or anything.  I mean like I said, it's the first deployment.  I just know there are some Do's & Don'ts that will definitely help us get through these next several months.

I downloaded this app, for free, and each month you get 85 4x6 pictures for free delivered straight to your door!  All you have to do is pay for shipping, but that's like what.. $5 max?  Of course you can order more pictures in all sizes (even canvas sizes) and as many pictures as you want you just have to pay.  I take advantage of this every month because it saves me a trip to Wal-Mart for ink or even to print the pictures myself.  If you're a picture hoarder like I am, this is a great app for you to down load!

February 15, 2015

Omar is getting deployed . . .

February 14, 2015

Now I have never been a huge fan of Valentine's Day, but this year was a little bit different.  It's my last weekend with Omar before he deploys.  Now, my plan was to drive up Saturday night and spend the weekend with him, but Friday night I got a lovely surprise when Omar came home to spend an extra night with me.

February 11, 2015

If anyone knows me knows how bad I've wanted to break into magazines through Teen Vogue and I finally have the opportunity. I could cry. I have been accepted to attend Fashion University in New York City March 13th - 15th! I can't even hide my excitement. I applied on a whim thinking that if I get it than it would be a wonderful experience, but I wasn't getting my hopes up. Less than twenty-four hours I was accepted to attend one of the most prestigious and once in a life time event. March 13th can't come soon enough!

Who else is going!? Message me.

February 07, 2015

For my birthday, my boyfriend and the crew took me gokarting, but the best part is that everyone dressed up like a character from Mario Kart.  I couldn't stop laughing at how hilarious we looked walking into the gokarting area.  I was obviously Princess Peach and was given a tiara since I was the birthday princess.

February 03, 2015

It's my 22nd birthday!

To say that I feel old would be an understatement.  I know 22 is not old, but it sure feels that way.  Two years ago I transferred to a college closer to home.  Four years ago I started college out at VCU. Five years ago I graduated high school.  Eight years ago I started high school.  Ten years ago I was 12 and my brother was 10 and we would play Pokemon together.  Seventeen years ago I played soccer for the first time.  Eighteen Years ago I went to pre-school all by myself.  Twenty-one years ago my parents got married and we went on their honeymoon to the Bahamas.

So many things have happened, but it feels crazy that twenty-two years have gone by so fast.
For my birthday this year I'm going to dinner with my family and best friends and this weekend... well you'll just have to wait and see.

January 18, 2015

Before Christmas break ends the boys and I wanted to go to Washington D.C. for the night.  We went to all of the popular locations.  We went to the white house, monuments, china town, and even saw a protest outside of the restaurant that we ate at.

January 14, 2015

I am your typical snuggle with a blanket, drink hot coco, and read a good book before bed type of girl.  I have been a bookworm for as long as I can remember and I really hope you don't mind how much I will post about books.  Books have always been an escape from reality for me.  There have been so many weekend nights where I am just not up for crowds and loud nights so instead I will turn on my Christmas lights, lay on my bed and read for hours.  To me, reading really is a huge stress reliever and a nice break from reality.  I have read everything from nursery rhymes to scholastic to AP English assigned books.  I seriously have no judgment when it comes to books and that is why I decided to share with you my all time favorites.

January 03, 2015

I am completely obsessed with Pinterest.  I probably log on to it at least twice a day.  I have everything  I could want on there- pictures of cute animals, clothes I want to buy, and even layout ideas for an apartment I'll have one day.  Everything is organized so nicely too which makes finding articles or pictures very easy to find.  If you haven't signed up for Pinterest yet.. what are you waiting for?  Sign up and follow me!  Let's share some ideas!
