Fall Makeup Look feat. Alexandra Artistry
One of my favorite things about the fall-time is the colors.  That might sound odd, but if you live in a place where the leaves start to change colors then you totally get what I'm saying.  There's something about these deep rich colors that I just love so much.  Everything from the clothes I wear to the makeup I buy is usually the same fall-ish color scheme.  I have wanted to do a makeup look on the blog for the longest time, but to be quite honest, I don't really know what I'm talking about.  Sure, I can show you guys recently bought products or explain why I like this or that, but as far as putting a look together- I'm clueless.  One of the girls I graduated high school with though, now she knows what she's doing.  I am obsessed with her Instagram and looking at everything she can put together.  After I reached out to Alex of Alexandra Artistry, I was so happy when she said she wanted to do a collab on the blog.  She put together this incredible fall makeup look that I know you all will absolutely love.  I had Alex go over the details of everything she used and I even linked all of her contact info down below.  Definitely contact her if you have a special event coming up or just need a new glam look for the seasons!

Tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into the beauty industry.
I have always struggled with acne, so naturally, at a young age, I learned how to utilize makeup to cover up my condition.  I always loved reading magazines to find the latest makeup tricks and trends.  I was struggling with staying focused in college and started taking art classes to explore my artistic side, at the same time landing a receptionist job at Frizzles Salon in Old Town Alexandria.  I was always fascinated with art and I always knew that art was a passion of mine.  I found that makeup is just like painting a picture.  Through social media, I found this whole community of people in the beauty industry and it inspired me to get serious about my artistic skills.  My peers are Frizzles also provide me with the positive reinforcement that I had the talent to succeed in makeup artistry.  In January 2017, I started freelancing part-time and never looked back.

What are some of your current favorite fall beauty products?
My favorite eye shadow palette that just recently came out is the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette.  I can't put it down.  Also, since the weather is changing and starting to dry up my skin, I like to keep hydrated with the L'Oreal Hydra Genius Moisturizer.

What products did you use to create today's look?
Primer - NYX Hydra Touch Primer, for extra hydration in the dry fall climate
Foundation - Milani Conceal and Perfect, for a photo ready face
Concealer - Tarte Shape Tape, best concealer on the market
Finishing Powder - NYX Finishing Powder, to set the face
Eyeshadow - Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette, it's full of beautiful colors that can take a natural look and bump it up a notch. I also used the Lorac Pro 3 Palette, perfect for natural and easily blend-able shadows.  It's a staple in my kit (perfect for bridal clientele)
Mascara - Covergirl Full Lash Bloom, water proof mascara and it's got a really nice formula
Setting Spray - NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray, helps powders on the face melt together and keeps makeup lasting all day
Eyebrows - NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Powder Pencil, I prefer pencil over pomade to give a more natural brow look
Lipstick - MAC Velvet Teddy, beautiful pink nude
Brushes - Morphe Brushes, good price and great quality

What are some of your other fall-time favorites that weren't used today?
I love a good fall vampy lip!  SavĆ”ge by Dose of Colors is the perfect deep burgundy maroon!

Why this look?  What made this one your favorite to put together?
I feel this look would be easy to recreate for anyone!  It's something that will work for the occasion and help make you feel polished, presentable, and photo ready!

Any tips and tricks for beauty lovers?
I think the best beauty trick is to do a at home moisturizing face mask at least once a week.  My favorite is the Pink Lotus Sheet Face Mask from Sephora!  It's $5 and totally worth it!  Having a well moisturized face is the key to any flawless makeup look.
