Ten Days In Orlando, Florida

I love being able to break down a trip into multiple blog post, because it means that I made the most out of my trip. Even if it's just a weekend trip I revolve my plans around my blog. It's just another weird thing I do, but it helps me get great content to share with my readers. I have shared my outfits, how I planned our trip and even a sneak peek of some of the things I was going to do on my next visit, but today I'm sharing my actual trip and everything we did. You can't plan every minute of your trip and you shouldn't because it's vacation- so vacate! It's good to have some things planned but for the most part, on our days "off" from the parks we had no clue what we were going to do. Which lead to some great adventures.

Monday: Travel Day & Facials
We had a super early flight at 6 a.m. which means we got to Orlando around 9 a.m. We slept on the flight and took a great nap once we got there too. Later in the day we decided to go get facials. It was so relaxing, plus Omar had never had one before so he really liked it!

Tuesday: Disney Springs
The next day we went to the airbnb that we had booked for a few days and met up with our friends Romeo & Abby. After settling in we explored Disney Springs and ate some amazing food at a speak-easy called Enzo's Hideaway. The food was seriously incredible. We had dessert at Erin McKenna's Bakery and Omar and I got a giant Thin Mint cookie and just the top of a cupcake. The food filled us up we ended up crashing as soon as we all got home.

Wednesday: Animal Kingdom & Orlando Icon 360
Wednesday was our first park day and we decided to go to Animal Kingdom. We went through the entire park in less than 5 hours. The safari was really cool, but the best part of this park was the Pandora: The World of Avatar. The Avatar Flight of Passage was by far the most magical ride. It sounds so lame, but I actually felt like I was flying. This was worth the hour long wait, but if you're lucky enough to get a fast pass I suggest you go on it twice. It was unexplainably awesome. After we went back, took a nap, we decided to get dinner at CafĆ© Tu Tu Tango. The food was AH-MAZING. We literally kept ordering more and more food. After dinner we went on the Orlando Icon 360 which is the 5th largest ferris wheel in the country and it was incredible. The view was insane. Then Romeo has a surprise and he proposed to Abby! I'm so happy I was able to photograph this special moment for them and it was a great ending to a great day.

Thursday: Epcot & Halloween Horror Nights
This is the day we were all super excited about. We went to Epcot for the International Food & Wine Festival. I seriously don't even know where to begin. We easily gained a hundred pounds that day because we just ate and ate and ate. This festival was really cool because it was the perfection portion sizes too so you could keep going. Omar had some really unique dishes such as a rack of lamb with potato chips and escargot croissant. I have to say my favorites, personally, were Mexico and Greece. If you ever go to Disney in the fall, you must stop by Epcot for this festival. Your stomach will thank you. That night Omar and I decided to go to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. It was a last minute decision but we got discounted military tickets luckily and decide to try it out. I have to say, this was one of the best parts of the trip. Omar and I had such a good time at this and we didn't want the night to end. I love scary stuff like this because it's such a thrill. Even though you get scared, it's so fun so I was laughing most of the night. It was really cool to see Universal at night too. Gave us a little sneak peek of what the park looks like so we can plan our day for Tuesday.  It was a very fun, romantic and thrilling night together. Again, if you are ever in Orlando for the Halloween season you must add this to your list.

Friday: Brunch
What's a Disney trip without a Mickey Mouse waffle? We went to the Grand Floridian Resort for brunch and just like every other food place in FL, it did not disappoint. If you go you must get the Eggs Benedict and mickey waffles, it's a must. After that Abby & Romeo headed back home and Omar and I took the day to chill out.

Saturday: Beach
Saturday was a much needed beach day. We drove to Cocoa Beach and it was beautiful out. I must say getting  tan in the middle of September is really nice. That night we also went to see Omar's family since they live in the area. I loved having these breaks in between the parks because it gives your body a much needed rest.

Sunday: Magic Kingdom
The next stop on our list was Magic Kingdom. We decided to go on a Sunday because it had the least amount of crowds that day. Even though it closes early on Sundays, it' was totally fine because we were able to do, see and eat everything we wanted. Except, would you believe right as we got to the front of the line Space Mountain shut down!? Besides that, the day at Magic Kingdom was a success. I loved seeing all of the fall decorations out. Plus, we had some really good desserts. I had my first ever fried Twinkie and churro ice cream sandwich. Is your mouth watering, because mine is. I also found the famous purple and galactic wall!

Monday: Hollywood Studios
The last Disney park is Hollywood Studios. We didn't get to do this one last time, but I knew Omar would love this park so I saved it for last. I haven't been to this park in years and I knew there were new exhibits that have been added such as the Toy Story Land and Star Wars exhibits. I honestly don't know where to begin with this day because.. wow. Let's start with all of the Star Wars! The shows, the rides, the characters and the march of the resistance. I mean guys.. I freaking met Chewbacca! Toy Story Land was extremely detailed. Though most of the rides were more for children, the Slinky Dog Dash Ride was SO MUCH FUN! We stayed in line for over an hour for this wait time (again, you're lucky if you got a fast pass) and even when it delayed for weather we stuck it out. We didn't come all this way NOT to ride the Slinky Dog Dash Ride. As soon as we got on the roller coaster it started to rain which made the ride even more fun!! The ride was really fast (don't let the childish theme fool you) plus the rain just made it epic. The entire Toy Story Land had such intricate details that made even us 20-something year olds feel like kids. The toy soldiers did their march, the Buzz Lightyear drink, and the toy walls and buildings were breathtaking. I actually felt like I was in a "toy world." From this part of the park you can also see the new Star Wars Resort being built and Omar has already decided we're coming back and renting room in 2020 when it opens.

Tuesday: Universal Studios
The last day of our trip we spent at Universal Studios. Again, since I planned this trip out ahead of time I knew that Universal Studios was going to be the least crowds on Tuesday and boy was I right. There were hardly any lines for rides! Omar and I even went on a couple rides twice because it was such a short wait time. The only thing that wasn't in our favor was that the Hogwarts Express was shut down (super bummed about that, but what can ya do). We enjoyed our time in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and even had a Duff Beer in Krustyland. Again, it's hard to explain but even though we were in a park, it was very relaxing. Omar and I just had so much fun and enjoyed each others company. Plus, it doesn't hurt that there were literally NO LINES, so we took our time going through the different parts of the park. We made the most of it and stayed all the way until the end when the park closed. We ended the night at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and had these milkshakes that were the size of our heads!!!

Wednesday: Travel Day
This was the day we came home. We took our time in the morning getting ready and packing. Plus, we spent some time with his family before heading back to the air port. This trip was so incredible and I loved spending this quality time with Omar. I'm so happy that we decided to do ten days and split up the days in between the parks too. I can't wait until our next trip when the Star Wars Hotel opens up!! Thanks babe for making this trip so special :)
