October Recap

It's been a fun spooky szn. I had Halloween movie nights, celebrated my mom's birthday, celebrated my brother and his girlfriend moving into their new house, had spooky nights with my boyfriend and visited a pumpkin patch! I had a pretty good October, but what's crazy is I can't remember a lot of things I bought or links I love. I've just really been keeping to myself, working a lot, catching up with old friends and spending a lot of time with my family. I think this month was a great month for self reflection and I'm excite to carry this new mindset with me to November.

Highs & Lows

Highs: I had a handful of highs this month. Honestly just being able to plan my month out accordingly and not feel overwhelmed was a big win for me. My favorite podcast, The Lady Gang, shared my post on their profile (view by clicking the link here). I've been killing it on Instagram (follow me by clicking the link here) and just spent quality time with friends and family.

Lows: I'm always so happy that I don't have major "lows," each month. But to be transparent and more real on my blog I guess I will share something a little personal. My promotion got postponed to next year obviously due to budget reasons. I am fortunate to even have a job right now, but sometimes you get burnt out if you're not being recognized or compensated for the work you actually do. I would say that this was my major low of the month, but you know in a few months my high will be that I got promoted! So it's a temporary set back, but that's life 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Favorites

Thrifting // I love thrifting, but the past couple months I've re-fallen in love with it and not only found a ton of amazing things for my soon to be niece, but also I've been able to fall in love with fashion again. "Greek" // I've watched this tv show before, but I just restarted it again and I love forgetting how much I love this show!! Also, what a great cast. In case you didn't know, Spencer Grammar who plays Casey also plays Summer in "Rick & Morty."

Overalls // All of my thrifted items from this month have been great finds (read thrifted blog posts by clicking the link here) but the overalls I found at a yard sale definitely take the gold.

Animal Crossing // I have re-fallen in love with Animal Crossing again! I actually started over 😱! Yup, I erased everything and started from scratch and I'm so happy I did it. It's been my go-to after work activity.

Photo Shoots // If you can tell by my thrifted items blog posts this past month, my friend Danya and I have had a lot of photo shoots lately. I love that we just get each other and know each others angles to get some great photos! Jenny Bird Bracelet // I got this bracelet in my Fab Fit Fun box and I've been wearing it non-stop. I get so many compliments on it and it goes with every outfit.

Express Jeans // Another fashion favorite, I got these jeans during the Express sale for $25 and they are my favorite. I love finding a good pair of jeans that fits me so well!

Links I Love

My Interviews // Ooooweeee. My interviews this past month were killer. But Alexa and Carlos PenaVega are the actual sweetest and nicest people. Alexa is so down to Earth we were even texting throughout the day and she followed me on Instagram 😭😭😭. Playful Pandas // These pandas wouldn't let the zoo keeper clean up and it's impossible not to giggle while watching this video.

Dolly Parton Rooftop Bar // This is like a Dolly + Barbie dream bar. I already have some items saved when I visit Nashville, but this is going to be a new one.

Memes // Rounding up some of my favorite memes from this month. Including this one about signing up for e-mail coupons, forgetting my age, and I only care about dogs opinions.

Coco Bombs // I just want everyone to be aware that these exist because we all need them for this winter.

KJP Halloween TikTok // I love Keil James Patrick, his style is perfection and his latest TikTok went viral for good reason. Click here to watch!
