2 Easy Summer Treats For Your Dog

Now that the weather is getting warmer, we are all outside more taking our dogs for hikes, to play or even the dog parks. I love the sound of an exhausted Oliver because I know we worked out enough for the day and all he wants to do is head home for a delicious cool down treat. Thanks to TikTok (I can't take the credit for this one) I found two super simple summer treats you can make at home for your dog this summer!

This is something you can make a big batch of and either put them in small containers or leave it in a big bowl like I did and give them scoops at a time. Oliver went crazy for this! It was so simple too and there's really not any correct "measurements." I used one can of pumpkin puree, two smashed bananas and 75% of the plain Greek yogurt. I mixed it all together and put it in the freezer to thicken up, then moved it to the fridge so it became a "ice cream" like consistency. I throw a scoop of this on top of his kibble and he goes crazy!

Blueberry + Yogurt Cups

Blueberries

Plain Greek Yogurt

As I've shared before I make food for Oliver at home and blueberries is a big part of that "meal toppers" that I make for him. Of course I had left over blueberries and left over plain Greek yogurt from the ice cream treat so seriously all I did was fill these little Dixie cups with yogurt and blueberries and let them freeze. THATS IT!! Oliver loves a frozen treat because it lasts longer and it's like playing for him because this treat isn't easily edible. So this is a great interactive treat as well and if Oliver likes them so will your dog. But let's be real Oliver eats anything.

If you like making your own healthier dog treats hopefully you and your pup will enjoy these! I love dog TikTok and highly suggest doing your own research about what "human" foods are safe to feed your pup.
