August Recap

August Recap

I can't be the only one who is ready for summer to be over. It just didn't feel like a real summer to me. I mean, I still had fun, went on vacation and got a good tan, but yeah I'm ready for the fall time. I am planning some exciting stuff for my future and I can't wait to share the news with all of you soon, so stay tuned!

August Recap

Highs & Lows
Highs: Honestly, this whole month has been pretty amazing. I feel I've gotten out of this quarantine funk I was in the past couple months. I have genuinely being doing really well and I have a lot of exciting news to share in the future.

Lows: I feel like I share this as a low too much and it's not because I'm in crazy debt or terrible with money, but adultlng is just hard sometimes and finances are always something that hangs over my head (thanks student loans). I had a lot of weddings booked for the fall (I'm an assistant for a wedding  photographer in DC) and a lot of those weddings have been cancelled or postponed, so that sucks. It just is what it is I guess!

Favorites

Blogging // This past month I re-fell in love with blogging. I have been knocking out content and have a precise knack for how I want to edit photos. Also be sure to subscribe to the newsletter! It will be a monthly newsletter where I recap my favorite products, things I'm currently reading, watching, etc., latest blog post and more!

Sleeping Essentials // I've shared all of these products at different times, but I swear these items make for the perfect nights sleep. Heating pad, eye mask, This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, Laneige Lip Mask, lavender essential oils, humidifier, This Works Deep Sleep Body Cocoon Lotion and candles. All of these combined creates the perfect recipe for a good nights sleep.

Glee // I've been rewatching Glee on Netflix and I'm already on season three in the span of one month. I get it's not for everyone, but it's still a great show with a lot of talent.

"This Is Not A Fashion Story" // I read this book during my trip to the west coast and WOWOWOWOW! Inspiring, motivating, captivating...this book has it all.

Biker Shorts // I have practically lived in my biker shorts this month. They're not only great for exercise but also great for everyday wear.

My Hair // I feel the most confident when my hair is blonde. My boy Jose did did it again and you can read all about my hair transformation by clicking the link here.

Creative Director T-Shirt // I bought this t-shirt during my trip to California/Arizona and I absolutely love it. I even showed it to my boss and he just laughed. It's kind of like.. if you know you know type of inside joke, but it's been my favorite clothing item this month.

Marley Spoon Food Subscription // I'm still doing this subscription and I love it. It not only cuts down my grocery budget but also how many trips I have to take to the store. I can't suggest this food subscription enough. Click here to try Marley Spoon and get your first box free!

Chopped // I love watching cooking and baking shows, but what I can't stand is all the talking and the background stories of people. I don't care, just show me how you make the food!! Which is why I like "Sugar Rush" on Netflix and lately I've been really into "Chopped." It's all about a time crunch so there's no time for a lot of talking. I'm happy there's just about 30 seasons so I'll have a lot to watch.

Links I Love

August Interview // I need to remember to start sharing my monthly interviews in links I love, because the interviews I have been doing lately are awesome. Check out this month's interview with blogger Paige Taylor by clicking the link here.

Renovated Barbie House // I stumbled upon this post on Facebook and it's freaking awesome. Real Barbie goals to be honest.

Blockbuster AirBnB // The very last Blockbuster store has been turned into an AirBnB temporarily. I'm a little mad that it isn't a permanent AirBnB because then I'd actually have a reason to go to Oregon.

Elle Cover // I loved, loved, loved this Instagram post by Elle. The marketing and design and the creative concept is just flawless.

Krista's Apartment Tour // I've bee following Krista for a while now and the one blog post I've been waiting for is her apartment tour. It's jaw dropping gorgeous and gave me some creative ideas for my future NYC home.

Lady Gang Presets // I love the Lady Gang and I'm so excited they came out with Lightroom presets. I might actually get the Keltie presets.

We Wore What // Okay, this vegan leather collection from We Wore What is everything. I will definitely be investing in all these pieces.

Dog TikTok Trend // This trend on Tik Tok is going around and stay tuned for me to do this with dog.

Animal Crossing Ikea Catalog // I saw this on Facebook and thought it was a fan created thing, but no, it's totally real. Ikea did an Animal Crossing themed catalog and ugh, love it.

Purchases
I didn't do too much shopping this month, because as I said I have some big plans coming up so I'm going to be working on growing my savings account a bit more. However, we did go to California and Arizona so most of my shopping was done on this trip.
