January Recap

So far this month I have been working towards my 2020 goals that I want to accomplish. I hope to keep this momentum up throughout February too, but even though I feel like I've been super busy, I also feel like I could do more. Is that odd? January was a good month and a good start to 2020, I'm ready to see where the rest of the year takes us.

Bloggers, YouTubers, podcasters and creatives unite! When I'm traveling or shuffling between work and home, there are some products that a creative on the go just needs. I can't tell you how many times I've reached into my bag looking for something that I needed and was disappointed when I didn't have it. So I created a checklist when I knew I wasn't going to be in the house to make sure that I always carry these exact items.

Getting Out Of A Low Point

I've been pretty open that I was going through a rough time the past couple months. It wasn't even just one thing, it was mostly mental. I felt like I was in a rut and the more I fought to get out of it the more I felt like I was sinking. It felt as if I was in quick sand, but really I was just making more trouble for myself. I had to be completely honest with myself and figure out what it was that was making feel the way I was and how I could change it. I felt that these few things truly helped me have a second view point on my own life. If you are feeling a little lost and at a low point, I hope some of these tips can help.

Birthday Wishlist

27 is far too old. I can't even fathom that I'm that age because I look like I'm barely old enough to buy alcohol. It's honestly crazy to think about, but with each new year comes new opportunities so you know what? Let's do this.

I don't normally make a birthday wishlist, but I've come to realize that these blog post and Pinterest boards are so much easier for everyone else so if it's a birthday wishlist you want, it's a birthday wishlist you're gonna get šŸ˜‰.

10 Useful Apps For Travel

Whenever I'm planning a trip the first thing I do is pull up certain apps. It helps to compare different prices, flight times and even what the prices of car rides will be like in the area. I am a huge planner, but when it comes to travel plans I don't take risks. If you're a planner like me, or even if you're not and you're just planning a trip soon, I highly, highly suggest downloading these apps right away.

Why It's Okay To Take A Break

Let me go ahead and start with the most controversial thing ever, I am over this trend of "self care" and calling out of work for a mental health "day." It's not that I don't believe in self care or mental health, I just don't enjoy that's it has become this "trending topic" as if you should be applauded for taking care of yourself for one day. This should be a lifestyle. I don't mean calling out of work every day, but you should be able to manage work or school without having to give yourself just a "day" to binge.

Self care should be a lifestyle change that you make so that you don't burn out because of an everyday occurrence (i.e. work and school). Yes, things can be stressful and yes life can knock us down sometimes, but that doesn't mean it's okay to be in an unhealthy mindset 24/7 until one day you implode.

Why It's Okay To Take A Break

You should be able to find ways to give yourself breaks throughout your day. It's vital for not only your mental clarity but also for your body. It's okay to take advantage of your breaks at work. I don't understand people who say they never take a lunch break. You're working 8+ hours shifts you need to nourish your body and step away from your e-mail every now and then. Not only that, but most companies take 30-minutes out of your paycheck for a lunch break anyways. Log off for thirty minutes and take a breather.

What I Got For Christmas

Merry Christmas everybody! If you've been following along I did this post last year and it actually got a lot of views. As I said last year, more than anything this is a haul. I was gifted some amazing products, including some things I didn't even know existed and I want to share it with you today. I am always so blessed to have such a large family and amazing group of friends to spend the holidays with. I feel like I have to add this disclaimer that this is not a "bragging" post and I am genuinely grateful for everything that I got for Christmas. Consider this more of a haul post and a fun sneak peak into the type of things that I like!

What I Bought Everyone For Christmas This Year

Another successful Christmas has come and gone. I have been working on this post for a while, but because we just had our Secret Santa party I was finally able to share the master list of what I bought everyone for Christmas this year! This post may seem weird at first glance, but it's because I love the presents that I buy everyone because I think (okay, I probably over think) presents for everyone. I just love shopping and shopping for my loved ones is something I am very passionate about. I share what I got for Christmas list every year and as a disclaimer it's not to brag, it's just to share because there are some unique items out there that maybe you too would be interested in, but didn't know it existed. It's basically a haul.. and I'm sharing this post the same way. It's not to brag with how much money I spend on people, in fact, most of these links are now full priced items. I'm an excellent Black Friday shopper so I get good deals on items and hardly ever pay full price. This is just to share different types of products that I found and I linked as many of them as possible broken down into different categories down below. Happy shopping!

December Recap

I was so busy with Christmas that I honestly didn't pay attention to much going on this month. I keep thinking of these favorites that I have, but a lot of my favorites from this month are the same as last month (like Baby Yoda). I also didn't do much shopping because all the shopping I did do was for Christmas!
