Stocking Stuffers That Actually Go In A Stocking

Is it just me or are these gift guides getting a little out of control? I've seen some gift guides on social media and other blogs where these items are categorized as "stocking stuffers" and it will include a $500 curling iron, a new office chair and a book that weighs ten pounds. These items don't go in a stocking. In fact, most of the time no items over $50 should go in a stocking. And don't forget—stockings go on the wall. Items that are too heavy will weigh the stocking down and it will inevitably fall to the ground.

3 Things To Do Every Night Before Bed

My bedtime routine is sacred to me. It is the most relaxing part of my day and honestly—it’s my favorite part. You put on some comfy clothes, set the vibe and have just a relaxing few moments before your body shuts down after a long day. It’s the best feeling!

The Meaning of My Blog Name

Since I came out with the rebrand, I wanted to dive a little deeper into the history of my blog and brand. I started my blog on a free Wix website back in 2012/2013. I was really looking for something after MySpace had disappeared and Facebook wasn’t cutting it. I wanted something more customizable and personal.

My Favorite Comfort TV Shows

I am definitely a TV girly. I watch tv all the time. And most of the time they’re just re-runs of shows I’ve already seen. In fact, I prefer to rewatch the same shows over and over again. Why? I don’t know I’m sure my therapist could tell me, but I know what I like I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Gift Guide for the Disney Adult

This gift guide was an obvious one I had to make this year given that Mickey Mouse is my next-door neighbor. I love Disney—as most people do—and I have found some of the coolest and most unique items for you to give your Disney-obsessed person for Christmas this year.

Books I’ve Read Recently

During this mini break from blogging, I had to fill my time somehow. Because juggling multiple jobs, playing on a soccer team, hanging out with family and friends, having two pets, and volunteering at the animal shelter just left my calendar wide open 😅.

3 Personality Traits That I’m Proud Of

A couple years ago for my birthday, I wrote this blog post: 27 Things I Like About Myself and it had some bittersweet responses. Sweet because it’s one of my most popular blog posts SEO-wise! Bitter because that means people are Googling the phrase “things I like about myself” and my post is what they’re finding. It makes me sad that people don’t know what they don’t like about themselves, but I hope that my blog post gave me solace and reassurance that it’s okay to love things about yourself because everyone is different and unique and deserves to have self-love and confidence ❤️️.

Gifts for The Pokémon Trainer

If you've been following me for a while then you know I've always loved Pokémon. But over the last year, I really dove head first back into the phenomenon that is Pokémon.

Gift Guide for The Boujee Dog Parent

Celebrating Christmas with my dog Oliver has always been one of my favorite things to do. He wears a Christmas sweater, gets to open all his presents (no seriously—he opens them himself 😅) and he gets to taste test all the new treats he gets. He even has his own stocking that we will with goodies 😍.

My Christmas Wishlist

It's that time of the year again! I'll be sharing Christmas gift guides throughout the next couple of weeks but I always start off with mine (and my dog's of course) Christmas wishlist!

Forks, WA On Film

One of my favorite things to do when I go on vacation is to buy a disposable film camera to capture some of the best moments of the trip on film. I don't know when I started doing this, but ever since then, it's been a constant thing on my to-pack list.

Home Decor Trends I’m Loving

Now that I'm a homeowner (still so weird to say out loud) I wanted to share some of the latest home decor trends that I have been loving. Of course, this isn't going to be our forever home so I'm not going to be purchasing anything or decorating this way (well—maybe a little we'll see 😉). Anyways, here are some trends, vibes, and pieces I've found that I really like!

Let Me Reintroduce Myself

Since my blog has been rebranded and I started to gain some new followers on TikTok, I wanted to reintroduce myself. This post isn’t going to be lengthy or anything like that, I’ll keep it simple, but I did want to introduce myself to any new readers here 💕.

Thrift For Your Home

I’ve shared a bit about my thrifting history and most importantly I’ve shared my epic thrift finds. But let’s start from the beginning for those who are new readers. I grew up always going to yard sales with my grandparents. It was always so fun to save up my allowance and see what I could find at yard sales on the weekends. And on certain occasions, I would go with my mom to The Salvation Army Thrift Stores or Goodwill. But it was never a staple in my line of shopping. I don’t really know why either? I had no judgment about it and loved the good deals and cool finds, it was like I just forgot about thrifting for a while. Though I still go to yard sales with my grandma, thrifting just never became “my thing.”

Updated Life Q&A

I recently made an announcement on social media that made a lot of people go...huh? Which I totally understand, because just a year ago I made a totally different life announcement. And now I'm going the completely opposite way (literally, the opposite way) and if you're not in my inner circle then I get it—it's kinda confusing. To be honest, I just didn't think anyone cared or was really following along—but it warms my heart to know that you are 😊. So today I am answering everyone's burning questions with an updated life Q&A.

Halloween Costumes for Dogs from Amazon

I recently found not one, not two, but THREE Halloween dog costumes for my dog. Of course, these outfits were labeled XL or “one size” but they barely fit my dog 😂. Oliver is a big boy—so we need to discuss the sizing they have for dogs because they’re not meeting the vibe check here.

As you can see I tried all of these outfits not just with my 90lb husky but also with my parent’s 20lb sheltie. They fit Smokey (sheltie) a lot better than they fit Oliver (husky)—but as you can tell by their faces—they weren’t having too much fun. They were good troopers though and received lots of treats 😂!

What I've Been Up To Lately

I took a much-needed but quite a long break from blogging earlier this year. I actually have only blogged about half the year so far, so there are a good six months of updates I’m missing. And since I treat my blog like my online diary—I definitely want to fill it in with what I’ve been up to these past six months.

It’s not that I did anything too crazy, it was mostly spent at home relaxing and hanging out with family. But I did go on some fun trips this summer and overall created memories that will forever be special to me.

Amazon Finds for Halloween DisneyBounding

Fall is my favorite time of the year and I love Disney at Halloween-time. All of the characters get spooky, the Mickey pumpkins come out and you can’t forget about the seasonal treats. Halloween is already such a fun holiday but to spend it in Disney, the most magical place on Earth, is quite the experience.

If you’re planning on DisneyBounding during the Halloween season and need a couple quick outfit ideas then keep reading–because all of these products were found on Amazon!

My Last Few Pieces of Work at The War Cry

Now that we’re
all caught up, you know that I left my job recently to move to Florida. During my break from blogging, I was still working and writing for the publication that I worked for. I typically share my work here and I wanted to do a round-up of the last few articles and interviews that I wrote the past couple months.

Create A No-Makeup Makeup Look With These 4 Products

When it comes to creating content, I’ve taken a lot of stress off of me by not needing to look so “perfect” in photos and videos. Of course, I still want to look put together—or at least feel put together—but it's unnecessary for me to put on a full face of makeup every time I want to take a photo. That’s why I’ve curated the perfect “no makeup makeup look” for those days when I just want to look cute without spending a lot of time doing my makeup.

I knew that one of my first posts coming back had to be about the Big Time Rush concert that I attended this summer. I received so many messages about this that I was honestly kind of surprised. BTR fans are loyal!!
