Taking A Breather

Washington, DC, USA
There's a reason I haven't been posting lately and that reason is life.  So much has been happening that I haven't had a chance to sit down and just write on here.  Between finals, jobs, and moving there's been a whirlwind of a change.  I'll catch you guys up on what's been going on.

I have decided to finish my school online through Old Dominion University getting my Bachelor's in Communications.  I will be graduated by December 2016!  Plus my brother and I are now getting our degree's from the same University.  That's a nice little bonus.  Once I realized that online school was cheaper and more convenient, Omar and I decided it was time to take our relationship to the next level and move in together!  In less than a week I am going to be living in North Carolina with Omar in our own apartment.  I. Am. So. Excited.  I haven't had my own apartment before so of course what I'm really giddy about is decorating it.  I'm also thrilled about living with my best friend.  It's a new town, new people, and a new adventure.  I'm going to be extremely homesick I already know it, but if I can go all summer living in Arizona, I think I can live 5 hours away from home.

Once all the details with the apartment and 95% of my room being packed up all that's left to do is buy a couple big furniture items and get my butt down there!  Omar had to go down tonight because of work, but this weekend my parents and I are off to move us in to our first home together.

Another reason that I have decided to take a break from my site is because I really wanted to focus on the quality of the post versus the quantity.  My ENG 123, Writing For The Web, class helped me with this lesson.  I created a WordPress Page all about Lumpy and took my time when creating post, taking pictures, and editing the post until it was the very best it could be.  I tend to post everything because this is my online diary, but really it just looks chaotic.  I want to get my website in the right direction and make it more professional.  Now that I have stopped using all the free trial I possibly can from Adobe, my wonderful parents bought me Photoshop and I can take my site to the next level.

I'm still so grateful for everyone who keeps up with my crazy life and promise there will be more to come!
