One of my goals for this summer was to work on my personal appearance. This may sound superficial or like I don't have confidence in myself, but it's the complete opposite actually. There are things that I can do that make myself feel better or that I have more of my life together. For instance, when my nails are done or when my skin is clear. I feel as if I can take on the world and stand a bit taller if you know what I mean. Most people have a day (usually Sunday) where they literally get their lives together. I want to make it more of an everyday type of situation. I've been feeling unmotivated and slacking in several departments of my life. Things I had motivation for are just gone. Such as fitness, photo shoots and even just keeping my apartment clean. & you can ask Omar- I'm big on cleaning!
I want to get my s#*! together! It's time to get out of this rut and start to build my motivation back up. This blog post is keeping me accountable to sticking to it and doing just that. By focusing on what actually makes me feel good at the end of the day I'll be back on track in no time.
So, what do you do to get it together? It all starts with just starting. I stopped pushing things off to the next day and finally just decided to get moving. I got back into my workout routine, I kept up my Sundays and getting my life together. My life got busier, to say the least, but I'm really proud of how motivated I've been lately. I've been paying attention more to my blog and just doing things that make me happy. I totally believe that quote "If you have good thoughts, they will shine out of your face like sun beams and you will always always look lovely." That's been my motto lately and I'm sticking to it.
